Creative Therapist Jorine specialises in supporting children and young people (2-17 YO) in their mental health & wellbeing. As a HCPC registered professional therapist Jorine usually works in schools, supporting children 1 to 1 or in small groups.
What will I do in creative therapy?
We will be meeting on Skype. You will work on a creative project that you enjoy. Choose from: drama, 3-D photo stories, drawing, photo project, project books, storytelling and writing, creative writing. These projects will help you have fun and relax, but also express yourself and make you feel better. Next to the creative project (and homework) we can also talk and/or do exercises that help you relax.
For parents: COVID 19
In these trying times you might be sitting at home with a child or teenager who is feeling particularly anxious or down. I am providing creative therapy Skype sessions on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at a pay-what-you-can-afford basis. The sessions last 30 minutes and we will set a fixed weekly time. As a parent you can pay the regular fee (£20) or a reduced fee (suggested minimum £7.50) if you are struggling with income at the moment. You can pay via Paypal or online banking.
Jorine Beck has a BA Creative Therapy Drama (hons), and Master of Arts (Theatre & Global Development). She registered at the Health Care & Professions Council HCPC (AS 15803) and has her DBS. Jorine is a prize winning and published therapist, who has worked in psychiatry, and specialises in working with looked after children, refugees and children with trauma.
